On the path of development of one of the scientific specialisations in the field of Telecommunications Law, Attorney Justyna Michalak-Królicka participated in the Doctoral Seminar of Legal Studies at the Lazarski University in Warsaw in 2017-2018. In July 2018, the Council of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Lazarski University in Warsaw adopted a resolution to initiate the doctoral thesis on the subject of the doctoral dissertation “Performing business activity in telecommunications” by Justyna Michalak-Królicka.
Advocate Justyna Michalak-Królicka as part of her professional development program in 2013-2014 was a student of Postgraduate Translation Studies at the Institute of English Studies at the University of Wrocław. During the studies the following subject areas were implemented aiming at improving the legal English language: English economic terminology, translation of contracts from Polish into English and from English into Polish, translation of documents issued by European Union bodies, translation of financial documents, practical Polish stylistics, translation of commercial correspondence, certified translations.
In October 2011, attorney Justyna Michalak-Królicka obtained a certificate confirming her passing the international legal English exam issued by the University of Cambridge – Cambridge ESOL Level 1 Certificate in ESOL International Legal English. Before the exam Justyna Michalak-Królicka had been participating in the English language course for lawyers at the “Legal English In Practice” language school in Wroclaw.
In 2010, attorney Justyna Michalak-Królicka completed postgraduate studies at the School of American Law conducted by the Chicago Kent College of Law and the University of Wrocław, allowing her to acquire knowledge of the American legal system. Due to the fact that during the course of study the language of instruction and examination was English, the studies additionally served to improve the legal English language. The scope of studies included: Introduction to the American Law System, Legal Issues in International Business Transactions, Contracts, Intellectual Property, Corporate Governance and Corporate Social Responsibility, Principles of American Criminal Law and Procedures, Comparative Law, and Competition Law.
